The Recruiting Office was first produced in April 2004. Written and directed by Dave Duggan, it is an adult comedy that restores some dignity to the search for work, set amongst the changing landscape of our working lives. Part job interview, part union meeting and part echo of The Office, the play explores what two people from different positions in the labour market will do to get that all important job.
Who should get the job in the new industries? The woman with twenty years experience in the old industries? Or the man with the master’s degree in informatics? Or maybe both of them? Who decides when they turn up for the interview and there's nobody at the recruiting office?
