Chairperson
- Catherine Ming
A graduate of Media and Theatre Studies from the University of Ulster
in Coleraine and of the Premiere Post Graduate Management programme, Catherine
has been working in the Arts in Derry for a number of years for various
organisations including the Nerve Centre, Foyle Film Festival, Greater
Shantallow Community Arts and Derry City Council. She is currently employed
as the Press & Marketing Officer for the Millennium Forum, a post
that she has enjoyed for the past seven and a half years and has extensive knowledge
and experience of arts marketing.
Vice Chair – James King
James was a lecturer in Theatre Studies at the University of Ulster from 1973-1994. He was Course Director and principal tutor of the Certificate in Community Drama during that time. Currently, James is concentrating on several performance collaborations including sound poetry, street events and performance art.
Treasurer/Secretary
- Jim Doherty
Has a background in 'Live Arts' working at the Bush Theatre London (a
centre for new writing) and later, the Institute of Contemporary Arts
(ICA) also in London where he worked for more than 12 years. His interests
include theatre, film and contemporary dance. He also has a huge interest
in international politics, peace agreements and reconciliation. Jim has
degrees in Social Sciences (University of London Southbank), Law and Politics
(University of Ulster at Magee) and a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies
(UU at Magee).
